Who's Your Daddy!

Growing up in ancient Egypt, is just like growing up in America for some family's, the father is the head of the house hold. However this goes a little bit more extreme then in America. The father was responsible for making all decisions, determining chores, when to make a purchase, what religious actions to make, and anything else that effected the whole family. Now, some of you may be thinking o sweet! No decision making. Well get this, if you were a girl/women in ancient Egypt your father would be in charge of you until you married, but even then your husband would rule you. However you must remember what time era you are dealing with. The woman in ancient Egypt actually had more rights then most woman across the nation. They got to choose who they marry/divorce, begin lawsuits, travel on their own, and choose what to where. Now lets switch gears and say your a child. Children are free to entertain themselves and maybe even explore the villages and the banks of the Nile. I would be okay with that. However I would not wear the "oh so trendy" side lock. A side lock is half your head shaved, pretty self explanatory.

  1. That seems like a lot of stress on the fathers of the families! Making every decision and working all the time.
